We are finally getting a closer look at the @apple Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pros.
Initially they look really cool and are very well built. But if you dig deeper, some crucial issues pop out.
For starters, the keyboard starts at $299 for the 11 inch iPad and $349 for the 12.9 incher.
Another con I noticed is that the iPad cannot be used in tablet mode along with the keyboard. This might reduce the productivity offered by such a powerful tablet.
And the iPad Pro with the magic keyboard weighs about 1.3kg (approx). There goes the weight advantage of a tablet.
When someone is paying high $$ for a keyboard, they would expect it to not have such trivial cons.
I am sure that this keyboard would sell in huge numbers, but I really hope this is NOT the future of tablet keyboards.
