My first blog post!

Hey everyone! Welcome to macroscope, a macroscopic view on the tech industry and other factors affecting it. Introducing myself, I am currently pursuing Final year B.Tech in Computer Engineering from Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune. I am highly passionate about technology with a keen interest towards consumer electronics (since thats the most accessible :p). I do not have any previous experience with blogging, so please bear with me if I make any mistakes along the way :). I hope to get better with blogging as the days pass. Note that blogging is just my hobby and not my main job. My main job will probably be a technical analyst at a multi-national corporation (once I graduate :) ).

The reason that I have started blogging is not that all colleges are shut due to COVID-19 and I have nothing else to do at home :p. Blogging has been on my mind for the past year and I did not get the proper time and motivation to start blogging. Well, now that I have both, I have decided to begin with blogging.

Let's begin with why I chose the title of my blog as 'macroscope'. You may be having questions such as What does it mean? What purpose does it serve? etc. etc.

Coming to the title 'macroscope', the purpose of this blog is to look at the bigger picture of technology. Kind of like having a 'macro' look. The title is intended to be the opposite of a microscope. It has nothing to do with a certain optical instrument that pops up in Google Images upon searching it.

I will be looking at a macro look at various technological topics which most tech journalists and tech youtubers tend to miss. Occasionally, I will also be writing on topics which could be remotely related to tech.

I look up to certain people who have been doing macro-tech related stuff for a while.

For now, I am planning to post bi-weekly (once in 2 weeks). But it may change according to the circumstances. But I ensure I will allot enough time to pursue this.

Since this is my first blog post, I am keeping it short. Also I will be keeping my future posts short (about a 5 min read). As I go on, I hope to make them longer, interesting and more detailed.
