There are rumours indicating that the upcoming #iphone12 series won't come with an included charger.
Possible reasons for this decision:
1. Most of the customers who buy an iPhone already own a previous gen iPhone. So they can use the old charger.
2. A good opportunity for @apple to increase their profit margins (as there won't be any price difference for the handset)
3. Customers will have to buy the charger separately, which means more revenue.
4. With no included charger, the iPhone retail box can be much smaller, which means more units can be transported in the same space. This leads to lower transportation costs.
5. Possibly a way to reduce e-waste generation
Seems like we'll have to shell out extra for chargers in the future...
